Randi Durden is double board certified in pediatric cardiology and general pediatrics. She moved frequently as a child with a father in the oil business, but Texas was always home. She was fortunate to attend both junior high and high school in Houston, TX. She attended Texas A&M University and received a graduate degree from the University of North Texas with an additional certification in parent education. She also previously taught second grade in Houston. As an athlete and mother herself, she is an advocate for childhood cardiac care and the importance of early diagnosis and appropriate intervention of congenital heart disease. She is also an advocate for the importance of safely keeping athletes on the field of play whenever possible. As an educator, she promotes providing patients and their families with the tools for their overall cardiac health and prevention of metabolic conditions such as hypertension and hyperlipidemia.
Randi and her husband Eric enjoy travelling with their 2 children, spending time with friends and family, warm weather, and watching baseball.
